A brief introduction to Bob Riggi and Real Estate Solutions of Oregon, LLC.
My professional real estate career began in late 1998 when I decided to pursue a real estate license here in Salem. The real estate market at that time was considered to be a down time for values as well as the number of homes being sold. I was asked 'Why' would I consider going into a business that was declining? (A question that I would hear again 10 years later). My answer at the time was 'My wife and I just bought our first home and I think that I could do a better job of communicating with my clients than was done with us by our broker'. That statement has been my personal mission statement from day 1: "Listen to the client and make sure they understand the process, the risk to reward of the transaction, and let the client make the decision'. A very simple statement I agree but it is one that can easily be overlooked in the process.
On the professional front I have personally closed over 300 transactions and an additional 2000+ closed transactions as the principal broker of record as a manager at a large local real estate brokerage. I have always made it a priority to continue my personal growth thru continuing education opportunities and by participation in my local Realtor organization which is the Salem Association of Realtors. I served 8 years on the board of directors at SAR which culminated in 2007 when I was the President and in 2008 when I was named SAR's 'Realtor of the Year'. Most recently I have served on the Marion County Board of Property Tax Appeal for 2010. I don't believe that you can ever sit on past accomplishments and that if you aren't trying to learn on a daily basis you are regressing.
On the personal front I have served on the board of directors at the Salem Family YMCA and was named the Volunteer of the Year by the YMCA for 2007. I am a 3rd generation Oregonian and have lived in the Salem area since 1976 graduating from Gervais Union High School in 1984.
Enough on me, lets get back to real estate! I believe that today's consumer has an expectation of quality service at a fair market rate. I know that is what I expect from those that I do business with and that is the reason that I opened Real Estate Solutions of Oregon. A local newspaper reporter asked me recently 'Why would you open a real estate brokerage in this economy?' Sound familiar? My response was 'This is the perfect time for me to offer the consumers a Full Service brokerage with fair pricing and options that are tailored to the clients needs!'.
